ABOUT THE BUSINESS

I started Reclaimed Commodities, because I have a genuine passion for conserving our planet's natural resources.

Rather than continue to perpetuate the 'fast furniture' and disposable home decor trend that is currently happening in our country, I use sustainable materials to bring life back to pieces that no longer serve their owners. I also have a sincere appreciation for the quality craftsmanship that serves as the backbone of well-made items. I enjoy putting time into modernizing pieces that are considered dated, so that they can be used and treasured by someone new.

By using mostly recycled or antique items, my goal at Reclaimed Commodities is to help you curate beautiful and unique surroundings in your home that you know are beneficial to our environment (ethical aesthetics).

ABOUT ME

I was fortunate enough to grow up in the beautiful towns of Ipswich and Essex. Both of my parents have owned small businesses in these towns, so being able to embrace some of their entrepreneurial spirit and start a business in the North Shore community is a dream come true for me!

Before I started my Reclaimed Commodities journey, I spent a decade in the education field as a first and second grade teacher, and later, a reading specialist. I spent many years living in Portsmouth, NH, and also lived in Lima, Peru for a while. I am an avid reader, hiker, and traveler, and of course, I love woodworking, antiquing/thrifting, and furniture artistry.
